ProofCycle turns what happens at a recycling site, material weighed, sorted and dispatched, into signed and independently verifiable evidence, and links India’s EPR certificates to recycling that can be proven.
India’s Extended Producer Responsibility system depends on certificates that say recycling took place. A Centre for Science and Environment investigation published in October 2024 found plastic EPR certificates issued far beyond the recycling capacity that could have produced them. Producers, importers and brand owners who buy those certificates carry the compliance risk, and under the Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2026 verification can be carried out by Registered Environment Auditors, who need evidence they can rely on.
Evidence is captured and signed where the material is. Weighbridge readings and site events are signed with a device key before they leave the site, and the platform rejects anything unsigned or altered. Each batch is reconciled against inbound and outbound records, a certificate can only be linked to mass that has been proven, and a certificate number can be linked once. Anyone can verify a certificate without an account.

The data model covers all five CPCB EPR categories: plastic packaging, e-waste, batteries, tyres and used oil. Pilots start with one material category per site.
